Lemon balm or Melissa officinalis is such an abundantly generous plant. Another mint family plant, she grows prolifically and without restraint in the garden. Melissa loves the sun, and the bees love her! The ancient priestesses of Europe were called the Melissae, named after the bees and their sweet honey which brought health and magic to the people.
